Giovanni's Birthday
Giovanni's expected due date was December 21st, but our little guy decided to join us on December 6, 2008 at 12:39pm weighing in at 7lbs. 110z and 19inches. December 6th will forever be the most memorable day of our lifes. It seems as though we just annouced we were expecting--how fast time goes by. Now that he's here and cuddled so tightly in our arms I'm afraid time will only pass us by even faster.
Giovanni: Daddy and I had been asking for a miracle and when God knew the timing was right he blessed us with you. I now can't imagine my life without you. You've brought unconditional love to all of our family and your loved so much by us all. The minute you were born you looked just like your papi--and I can't explain to you the smile he had on his face when he saw you slip out that day and how anxious he was to just hold you tight.
This was your first Christmas and you were only 19 days old. You didn't have a clue of what was going on...all you knew was that there were tons of family around and everyone waiting anxiously to hold you while mommy was making sure everyone that held you washed their hands so you wouldn't get sick so soon.
In a day or two it will be 2009 and what better way to begin a New Year than with a beautiful baby boy bundled up in our arms who's not even a month old yet. Can't wait for all the great memories in 2009.
